After passing the course, the student is expected to:
- be able to define, identify and describe basic concepts in laser scanning
- be able to understand basic principles for different laser scanning methods
- be able to explain and defend the basic principles of laser scanning methods
- be able to compare and select the method of laser scanning task

- different types of laser scanning instruments
- the data content of the point cloud
- processing / editing of point clouds
- classification of laser scanned points
