Objective

The student:
* can plan, implement and evaluate a project
* is familiar with the professional field of construction
* can use tools applicable in project planning and project management
* is familiar with teambuilding and -development
* can work in groups and teams with individuals regardless of their background
* is familiar with the role and the responsibilities of a team leader

Content

The students work in the course in small project groups consisting of 5-10 people. The project highlights the division of labor between clients, authorities, planners, work management, carpenters and other parties in the construction project.

The student learns to use tools in project planning and management and to work with others in groups and teams regardless of background. The working method CDIO (Concieve, Design, Implement and Operate) is used, which means that one takes care of a product's or service's life cycle from idea and design development to realization and use.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The course is assessed with the pass marks passed / failed.

The course has compulsory attendance at project meetings and some other activities. Absence from compulsory parts is compensated by individual written information.

To be approved in the course, approved assignments, approved examination and approved project (attendance, presentations, etc.) are required.
