The student:
- has an idea of the importance of steel as a construction material in buildings including its environmental impact
- is familiar with the fields and methods of using steel as well as its types of structure
- is familiar with the properties of steel and knows the basic concepts used in steel technology on a general basis
- is on a general basis familiar with the regulations regarding steel structures and dimensioning in accordance with Eurocode 3.
