After passing the course, the student should know the selected parts of the truck technology, the rules that apply to the construction of constructions and construction and the legislation on heavy vehicles

-Weight calculations in construction
-Dimensions and weights and coupling rules for heavy vehicles

Qualifications

Automotive Technology 1 (Recommended)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

-Know the basics of compressed-air braking systems in heavy-duty vehicles of different year models.
-Approved exams and any submission work
Know legislation on measures and weights in heavy traffic

Assessment criteria, good (3)

-Can calculate the braking effect on a combination of vehicles based on given input values from a practical brake test. Can also perform a theoretical brake calculation as the basis for a design using computer software used in the industry
-Can perform design calculations manually and with computer programs
-Can apply current legislation when calculating vehicles and overload

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

-Can assess the brakes based on a practical brake calculation and investigate the reasons why the result does not meet regulatory requirements.
-Can independently perform calculations with computer programs and evaluate the suitability of the vehicle for use
-Can independently assess the most appropriate vehicle options for different shipments taking into account the dimensions O weight rules
