- After completing the course, the student should know the basics of selected parts of car technology, both traditional and modern.

- The basics of selected parts of car technology as well as road holding and alternative energy solutions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

- Know the principles of braking forces and their power requirements. Knows the design of brake systems in modern vehicles and other safety solutions.-Know different solutions for suspension and suspension on light vehicles- Knows what alternative energy sources are available such as hybrid technology, electric cars etc.- Know the vehicle legislation in applicable parts

Assessment criteria, good (3)

--Can calculate and assess the suitability of different vehicle solutions in terms of performance, economic and environmentally friendly operation. Likewise, brake and safety solutions-Can explain and assess the characteristics of different suspension systems-Can assess the suitability of alternative energy sources for propulsion of vehicles depending on the transport needs or the tasks of a work machine-Can understand and judge the whole in different vehicle solutions

- Can apply calculation methods for different vehicle solutions and create new solutionsCan apply versatile knowledge when assessing a vehicle's road characteristics- Can account for energy accumulating solutions for the vehicle's drive system- Can impartially argue about the suitability of different vehicle solutions in different contexts
