Objective

After passing the course the student is expected to:
• Be able to create PLC programs in practice
• Be able to understand how control and control circuits are constructed
• Be able to create pneumatic schedules and make working connections
• Be able to make adjustments to control systems in practice
• Be able to document various connections and motivate choices made

Content

The course content is as follows:
• Laboratory in control and control technology
• Laboratories with pneumatic systems
• Measurement laboratory work

Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Automatic Control and Measure Systems ( Recommended)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

• Can create simple PLC programs
• Can make simple pneumatic connections and associated documentation
• Can create accurate documentation of laboratory work performed
• Know how automation technology can be used in practice

Assessment criteria, good (3)

• Can create PLC programs
• Can make pneumatic connections and associated documentation
• Can create good documentation of laboratory work done
• Understands how automation and control technology circuits are constructed in practice

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

• Can independently create advanced PLC programs
• Can make advanced pneumatic connections and associated documentation
• Can create high-quality documentation of laboratory work performed
• Can argue for choice of components and technical solutions
