After completing the course, students have knowledge of both strategic, tactical and operational leadership. The student knows the challenges that leadership faces in small, medium-size and large companies.

Different approaches in leadership,
Leadership at different levels, strategic, tactical and team leadership.

Values, ethics and morals.
Owner or employee manager.
The challenge of leading change.
Reward system and new values in salary setting.
To be able to lead as a leader and to be able to create a working climate there also other energies.
The need for renewal and constant development.

Passed course in Leadership and labor law, 5 ects and Management Systems, 4 ects.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
Has basic ability to identify different leadership needs in different situations and environments.
Can describe the need for leadership as an employee in another's service and as a self-employed person.
Realize that leadership is multidisciplinary and consists of many subdivisions.
Can describe the interaction between the different company functions and the need for control and management.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
Can explain simple connections between leadership qualities / behaviors and leadership success.
Can describe, vision, mission, strategy and the companies' different goals.
Can explain the importance of follow-up, information, communication and reward.
Can explain the difference between owner managers and an employee leader from an organizational perspective.
Can explain the meaning of simple leadership terminology.
Realize what change, timeliness and anticipation mean.
Has a basic understanding of the difference between global organizations and small businesses.
Has a basic understanding of the changing role of leadership in the network economy and economic networks.

Can describe meters and other tools for monitoring the company's operations.
