The Student:
- can explain the principles of CT scans and procedures
- understand the importance of preparation as part of high quality research
- know how to explain the safe use of contrast agents and know how to treat drug reactions
- can explain the principles of radiation exposure optimisation in CT scans and procedures

Function and principles of the CT scanner
CBCT and low dose CT
Patient/client management and care during CT examinations and procedures
Optimisation of radiation exposure and radiation safety during CT examinations
Contrast agents and treatment of reactions caused by them
Anatomy and pathology
