Objective
Pediatric Care:
The student:
- can, under supervision, plan, implement, evaluate and document sustainable and comprehensive care for children and young people
- performs under supervision central, sustainable care methods, clinical examinations and functional measurements in pediatric health care
- can, under supervision, plan, implement and evaluate safe, sustainable medical management in the care of children and young people
- takes into account patient and client safety in the care of children and young people
- applies evidence-based methods in health promotion work with children, young people and families and gives guidance to a health-promoting way of life
Primary care:
The student:
- is familiar with national and international action programs, strategies and resource-enhancing methods in health promotion work with different age groups
- can, under supervision in inter-professional collaboration, plan, implement, evaluate and document sustainable, resource enhancing work at individual, group and community level
- guides individuals and groups to a health promoting way of life
- can plan, execute and evaluate safe and sustainable medical management
Home Health Care:
The student:
- is able to, under supervision and in inter-professional collaboration, plan, execute and evaluate sustainable person-centered/client-centered care in a home setting taking into account the cultural background of the patient and his/her relatives.
- can use different sustainable, evidence based care recommendations in the planning of care and can use central resource enhancing care methods in home environment
- can document and report
- demonstrates respect for the patient/client and close relatives in the home environment and can identify ethical problems
- can assess and support the patient's/client's functional ability as well as the patient's and relatives' involvement in care
- can plan, execute and evaluate safe medical management
- understands the importance of patient and client safety and applies aseptic principles in patient care
