Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student must demonstrate Finnish language skills that, according to the law (424/2003), are required of public employees. The student should show satisfactory (grades 1, 2, or 3) or good (grades 4 or 5) ability to use Finnish in both spoken and written form.

The assessment of Finnish language skills follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Level B1.1 and B1.2 indicate satisfactory skills (grades 1–3), while level B2 or higher indicates good skills (grades 4–5).

The assessment criteria for Finnish language skills are the same across all universities in Finland.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)
