The student understands the different tasks and challenges in industrial management and leadership. The student knows the challenges in and some suggested solutions for human resource management (HRM), change management and the handling of conflicts. The student gains a broader understanding of the roles and responsibilities in personal leadership on different management levels as well as strategic leadership.

Content

Framing the field of leadership. Basics in HRM, fundamentals of leadership and organizational knowledge transfer. Personnel rewards, appraisals, mentoring, coaching and advanced business development issues. Corporate responsibility and business ethics related to different management levels. Change management associated with growth, but also downsizing and restructuring businesses in economic crises. Crisis management. Health, safety and environmental issues in everyday leadership.
