Objective

To enhance the student’s understanding of the different tasks and challenges in industrial management and leadership. Leadership is multi-faceted and here focus is on human resource management (HRM), change management and the handling of conflicts. The course provides the student with a broader understanding of the roles and responsibilities in personal leadership on different management levels as well as strategic leadership.

Content

Framing the field of leadership. Basics in HRM, fundamentals of leadership and organizational knowledge transfer. Personnel rewards, appraisals, mentoring, coaching and advanced business development issues. Corporate responsibility and business ethics related to different management levels. Change management associated with growth, but also downsizing and restructuring businesses in economic crises. Crisis management. Health, safety and environmental issues in everyday leadership.

Numerical for PASS from 1 to 5 and
0 for FAIL: No participating in the contact lessons, no returned tasks.
