Objective
The student:
Can describe pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic principles, as well as general mechanisms of action for drugs at the molecular and cellular level
Can account for and draw conclusions from individual variations, interaction mechanisms and side effects of drug substances
Can describe the mechanisms of action at the molecular level, as well as account for effects, use area and side effects for different drug groups
May relate pharmacological mechanisms of action to the treatment of pathological conditions
Have readiness to evaluate the potential benefit and risk of multiple drug use (polypharmacy)
Have preparedness to identify health problems that are due to drug side effects and interaction
Have preparedness to apply different pedagogical theories when teaching patients who have got prescribed drugs
