Objective
The student will:
- understand the principles of safety control and know how to implement them in nursing care
- obtain knowledge of X-ray diagnostics and its importance in patient care
- know laws, regulations and directives concerning medical radiation
- know the medical uses of radiation
- obtain basic knowledge and skills regarding radiation, and will be able to minimize radiation risks
- obtain basic knowledge of radiation protection for health professionals outlined in ST 1.7(Säteilysuojelukoulutus terveydenhuollossa)
- prepare to promote patient safety in all phases of the nursing process
- prepare to prevent and identify quality deviations in all phases of the nursing process
- understand the importance of confidentiality in all phases of the nursing process, and be able to act in accordance with such principles
