After completing the course:
- Students master the basic tools in motivational conversation and can conduct a coherent dialogue.
- Are students prepared to hold conversations with people who have low, medium and high readiness for change
- Students understand the basic principles for using motivational interviewing with groups
- Students understand the basic principles for using motivational interviewing with clients with intellectual disabilities

Content

- Rehearsal of the basic tools within Motivational Interviewing
- Support self-confidence and autonomy
- Methods of resistance
- M I in case of cognitive and language difficulties
-Leading motivational conversations in groups

Qualifications

Basic studies (1,5-2 sp) ) in Motivational Interviewing
This course is primarily for USO21D-V and USO22F-V

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students have carried out an observation, interpreted and analyzed conversations and been able to use relevant tools. With the help of literature studies, the picture has been deepened by motivational conversations as a method.
