Location and time

CND Shellac Beginner Course (max 20 participants)
(No prior knowledge required)

Participants will be approved in Peppi based on registration, date, and time. Those who are not confirmed will need to wait until the next course, starting in Spring Term 2026.

Content:
1–2 theory lessons
2–6 supervised practical lessons
Independent practice on at least 2 models
Final test on a model

Schedule:
October 7th
10:00–12:00 – Theory in room A-157
12:00–15:00 – Practical training in room Beauty Beneath

After this session, you will complete independent practice with two models, performing Shellac treatments. These must be completed before you can take your final test on a model.

- Students is planing, hand and nail care according to the customer's needs and preferences by discussing with the customer and considering skin and nail conditions as well as the customer's health status and allergies
- Determines the condition of the skin and refers the customer to a specialist if needed
- Uses products suitable for the customer and leverages their knowledge of the products
- Using appropriate tools and techniques for the treatment
- Manages the customer's nails and skin almost according to the plan to ensure customer satisfaction with the end result
- Completes the work within the agreed time
- Provides information on the use of products for self-care
- Serves the customer in a friendly way

- Cuticles are treated
- Nail shape is good on all 10 fingers
- Attempts to use the 5-application method
- Nail part 1 is applied
- Other lines of the nail are applied

Assessment criteria, good (3)

- Students is planing, hand and nail care according to the customer's needs and preferences by discussing with the customer and considering skin and nail conditions as well as the customer's health status and allergies
- Determines the condition of the skin and refers the customer to a specialist if needed
- Uses products right and safe and suitable for the customer, leveraging their knowledge of the products and their components, and justifies their choices
- Uses the right and safe tools and techniques suitable for the treatment
- Manages the customer's nails and skin according to the plan to ensure customer satisfaction with the treatment and the end result
- Understands the structure of the nail
- Completes the work within the agreed time
- Provides the customer with advice on using products for self-care and for the ongoing care of nails and hand skin
- Serves the customer in a friendly manner and in a way that promotes a lasting customer relationship

- Completes the work within the agreed time frame
- Provides the customer with expert advice on using products for self-care and devises a plan for the ongoing care of nails and hand care
