Teaching methods

The aim of the course is for students to gain insights regarding their own culture/s and develop practical skills useful in intercultural situations. Throughout the course each student will:
• explore oneself as a cultural entity
• gain awareness and understanding of the implications of culture
• acquire skills and practice in dealing with intercultural situations in business

• themes such as Culture Shock, Critical Incidents, Stereotypes, Verbal/Non-Verbal communication
• participating in activities designed to raise cultural/personal awareness
• analysing culture through group engagement
• exploring personal responses to cultural issues through reflection and dialogue.
