Objective

Student
- can apply evidence-based clinical practice and critical thinking in gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders
- has evidence-based knowledge of the medical and surgical patient's characteristics and about the care of gastrointestinal and endocrinological disorders
- can use caring science as a basis for caring
- According to national directives, can carry out structured care planning and documentation
- can assess the patient's care needs through adequate clinical and physiological assessments and measurement methods, and can prioritize and document these according to national classification systems
- can describe the physiology and anatomy of the food digestive system and endocrine system
- has knowledge of man's most common gastrointestinal and endocrinological disease states and their underlying pathophysiology
- has knowledge of medical terminology and drug treatment in gastrointestinal and endocrinological conditions
- has the ability to assess the need for care of patients in need of emergency care, and to support them and their relatives
- Understands the importance of health promotion, preventive care and rehabilitation in relation to gastrointestinal and endocrinological disorders
