Objective

Student
- can apply evidence-based clinical practice and critical thinking in case of psychiatric disorders
- has knowledge of mental health and various forms of psychiatric disorders, eg. depression, anxiety disorder, psychoses, personality disorders
- is familiar with the central legislation and mental health strategies of the area and can apply them in practice
- knows the different forms of service and care of mental health care
- has knowledge of the medical terminology and drug treatment in psychiatric disorder
- has the ability to assess the need for care of patients in need of acute psychiatric care, and to support them and their relatives
- understands the importance of health promotion, preventive care, mental hygiene and rehabilitation in relation to mental illness
- can integrate health-promoting care in mental illness, and support and supervise the patient in self-care
- is familiar with the legislation and has a basic readiness to act in situations where children are at risk
- Can apply mentalfirst aid
- Has sreadiness to provide mental first aid
- can identify addiction and have preparedness in the care of substance use disorders
- has knowledge of various forms of substance use disorders, mainly abuse of alcohol, drugs and drugs
- can inform, advise and supervise substance use disorders issues
- is familiar with the area's central legislation and substance abuse strategies and can apply them in their profession
- is familiar with various forms of treatment, therapy and care and can apply them with consideration of individual factors in the care of patient with substance abuse problems
- understands the importance of health promotion, preventive care, mental hygiene and rehabilitation in relation to substance use disorders
- can meet people with special needs
