Objective
The student
- has basic knowledge of Baroque music (music composed between 1600 and 1750) and its historical background, development, aesthetics, forms, as well as the social functions and environment of the music.
- becomes familiar with the most important primary historical sources, as well as the secondary literature about Baroque music.
