Objective
• The students can define and identify with the professional role in the industry

Teamwork and workshops in the business, pitch the business idea, practical assignments, guidance, salon work, discussions and presentations.

The teams are encouraged to collaborate and network with working life.
Exam schedules
Examination consists of submitted assignments. Deadline for submitted assignments are in Autumn 2023.
Lottas part 2cr: grade is given for the following parts
1. Idea Pitch! Teams pitch the business idea at occasion, 0,5cr, deadline: week 38. Team feedback is given directly at the occasion.
2. Marketing; Promote your Business, 1cr, deadline: December 2023
4.Active participation in class/workshops and in own business through teamwork and individual contribution, 0,5cr.
Jaanas part 3cr: grade is given for the following parts
1. Idea Pitch! Teams pitch the business idea at occasion, 0,5cr, deadline: week 38. Team feedback is given directly at the occasion.
2. Nordic Business Forum- event 27-28.9.2023, individual team report 1cr, deadline:4.10.2023 via Moodle. Team feedback is given in class session.
3. Business Model Canvas (business plan), 1cr, deadline:20.10.2023. Feedback is given through Moodle to each team.
4. Active participation in class/workshops and in own business through teamwork and individual contribution, 0,5cr.
Instructions for the examinations are given by each teacher at the beginning of course part.

The student demonstrates superficial competence and basic understanding of the subject

The student demonstrates a competence that is related and linked to the literature
The student can reflect and motivate from his/her point of view

The student has an immerse competence and shows a deeper understanding of the subject in relation to the upcoming profession
Assessment methods and criteria
The course is evaluated based on grades (0-5) for assignments (individual and team) and activity. Course grade is formed of Anna-Lotta´s part 2cr and Jaana´s part 3cr. Assignments and activity forms the final grade in each course part.
Assessment criteria, fail (0)
The student has not followed the instructions of the assignment and shows especially vague competences within the theme.
The assignments are inadequate or lacking.
The student has not participated or contributed anything during the course.
The student has not contributed to the teamwork process. The student's share in the work cannot be demonstrated or is brief.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student has partly followed the instructions of the assignments and demonstrates superficial competence and basic understanding of the subject.
The content of submitted assignments are satisfactory.
The student has participated in the course, but the commitment and activity have been low or satisfactory.
The student has partly contributed in the process of teamwork. The students' share of the work is satisfactory.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student has almost or has fullfilled the instructions of the assignments and demonstrates good or eminently good competence within the subject.
The content of submitted assignments are good or eminently good.
The student has participated or participated actively in the course and demonstrates commitment for content of the course and course assignments.
The student has taken partial responsibility and contributed to the teamwork process. The proportion of student´s share in the work is good or extremely good.

The student has fullfilled the instructions of the assignments and demonstrates excellent competence within the subject.
The content of submitted assignments are excellent and exceptionally executed.
