Objective

The student can use Novia's IT services partly on Novia's computers and partly on her/his own computer.
Students can install software and services needed for the studies on their own computer.
The student can use office software such as presentation programs, word processing programs and database management programs in their studies.
Students can use spreadsheets in their studies.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is familiar with and can use the educational unit's computers, networks and services in their studies.
The student can download and install software needed for the studies to their own computer.
The student can create presentations, reports, and simple calculations. The student understands what a database is and how a database is structured and able to insert, update and delete data via a graphical interface.
The student can perform calculations with formulas and simpler functions. The student can produce simple diagrams.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can integrate the various services of the educational unit with each other.
The student can configure installed software to work optimally.
The student can independently create presentations, reports, and simple calculations.
The student is able to do simpler searches and can produce simpler reports from a database.
The student can perform calculations with more advanced functions. The student can produce more advanced diagrams.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can make full use of the equipment and services offered in his studies.
The student can independently download, install and configure software for the studies and can independently solve problems that arise.
The student can actively solve problems that arise when creating presentations, reports and simple calculations. The student understands how a database system is structured and how data storage in databases takes place.
The student can independently and effectively solve more advanced calculation tasks.
