Objective

The student:
- will master the basic principles, concepts and terminology of anatomy and physiology
- will be familiar with the basic types of tissue, their structure and function, as well as the structure and function of the skin
- will be able to describe the structure of the nervous system and understand how the nervous system regulates physiological processes in our body
- will have knowledge of the structure and function of the sense organs
- will have knowledge of the structure the endocrine system and understand how different hormones regulate body functions
- will be able to describe the structure and function of the reproductive system
- will have knowledge of the structure and function of the locomotor system
- will be able to describe the structure and function of the blood, heart and blood circulation, and the structure and function of the lymphatic system and the respiratory system
- will be able to describe the structure and function of the digestive system
- will have knowledge of the urinary system and understand the concept of regulation of body electrolyte, fluid and acid-base levels"

The course is graded 0-5 based on result in individual exam. On line quizzes are graded passed or failed.
In order to pass the course all parts (exam and quizzes) have to be passed.
