Objective

The student
- can plan and lead wood harvesting operations
- can plan wood harvesting sites based on topography, carrying capacity of the soil and water conservation
- can take into account cultural heritage, relics of antiquity, important habitats and threatened species
- can plan the storage of timber and wood fuel at forestry road side
- knows how the harvesting of windthrown timber is carried out
- understands the cost structure of logging
