Objective

The student
- can measure growth on individual trees and stands
- can perform a stem analysis and present and interpret the results
- knows the advantages and disadvantages of different inventory methods
- can plan and carry out a line inventory in a seedling stand

Growth concept, growth measurement on individual trees and at stand level
Stem analysis: Measurements, calculations and interpretation of results
Advantages and disadvantages of different inventory methods
Line inventory in plant forests
Impact of sources of error on results
Measurements of forest skills track or participation in such can be included in the course
The course is based on several of the global sustainability goals, mainly the goal of Responsible consumption and production
