Objective
The student:
- can, as part of an inter-professional team plan, execute, evaluate, document and report a person-centered/client-centered sustainable care in collaboration with the patient and relatives and demonstrate a reflective and ethical approach to care
- has expertise in care work within internal medicine and can account for various health hindrances, health resources, illnesses, examinations and treatments and how different illnesses and complications can be prevented
- masters central evidence-based care methods within internal medicine and palliative care and can perform clinical examinations, functional measurements and treatments
- can in an inter-professional team respond to, support and supervise patients and relatives in palliative care and death, as well as account for and apply central laws and governing documents
- can meet different needs and provide support in spiritual, existential and cultural needs at the end of life
- can guide the patient
- is familiar with the chain of care
- can plan, execute and evaluate safe medication management
