Objective
Student:
- has knowledge of physiological gerontology, geriatrics and acute geriatrics and can apply them in care
- has knowledge of health risks, common symptoms and diseases in the highest age groups
-has knowledge of aging, multi-morbidity and the importance of acute conditions and can apply it in care
- has knowledge of chronic conditions and their significance in acute illness
- has knowledge of various memory disorders
- masters the management of acute conditions in the elderly
- has knowledge of and can apply the features of the elderly's drug treatment
- masters drug-related problems in the care of the elderly and can actively apply knowledge in the prevention of iatrogenic injuries
- can promote the functional ability of the elderly and has a rehabilitative approach to care
- has knowledge of digital technology and technical aids in geriatric care
- has knowledge of legislation and recommendations regarding the elderly population
