Objective
In demanding and exceptionally demanding structural design:
The student is able to apply
- thermal, humidity and flow technology of structures
- regulations and standards on the subject
The student is able to take into account
- causes of moisture and mold damage
- cold bridges and joints of structures
The student is able to calculate and examine
- thermal and moisture behavior of structures
- mold risks of various building materials and structures

Lectures held in the autumn term 2023. The course is carried out as online studies i.e., lectures tied to time but not to place.

Lectures combined with exercises once a week.

Exam schedules
The course includes an exam and two official re-examinations after the course.
Completion alternatives
The course is evaluated on the basis of exam results.
Student workload
Attendance at lectures is not mandatory. However, the student should solve, be present, and be prepared to present at least 50% of the homework in order to qualify for the exam.
Students are expected to attend each lecture in order to be able to complete the course.
The course has a steady load due to homework. Every homework and lecture requires preparation.
Further information
Students need a computer with dual screens, good internet connection, web cam and headset, to be able to participate in this course.

Assessment methods and criteria
The student must solve at least 50% of the compulsory homework, be present and prepared to present their own assignments in lectures. This is required to be eligible to take the exam.
The grade of the course is based on the exam results.

The student has not shown sufficient basic knowledge of the subject. That is, either the student is not eligible to participate in the exam or he / she completes less than 40% of the total points in the exam.
