Objective
The student should
- Understand the principles of road planning
- Know which authorities are responsible for infrastructure and road construction
- Be able to design road constructions and know how these are carried out
- Understand and be able to apply different working methods and stages in road construction
- Know how to design, manufacture and lay out pavements
- Know how to recycle old pavements
- Know which geosynthetic products are used in road construction
- Know about special foundation methods in road construction
- Know how to plan and build routes for easy traffic
- Know the basics of track technology
- Know how the maintenance of roads is administered and performed
