Objective

The student:
- can base the health care work on legislation, national and international governance documents
- can apply knowledge of public health, community analyses and municipal welfare reports in
promoting the health of the population to reduce health disparities between different population groups
- can take into account various health promoting and hindering environmental factors in the
health care work and deepen their knowledge in the promotional and preventive health care work in different business environments
- can cooperate in special and exceptional situations with other experts in environmental health care
- can use evidence based knowledge when planning, implementing and evaluating client- centered health promotion work
- can use resource enhancing sustainable business models and methods
- can through outreach healthcare work support clients, families and communities who are in need of special support
- can consider cultural factors to support the health and functional capacity of clients from different cultures
- can prevent accidents and master first aid
- master medication management
- can apply national and international guidelines for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in health care work
- can implement the vaccination program and guide travelers
