Objective
After passing the course the student is expected to:
- master a modeling program for creating 3D models (Siemens NX)
- be able to create 3-D models and 2-D dimension drawings of them.
- Understand the opportunities and benefits that 3-D modeling brings.
- be familiar with the connection between design models and other production processes.

Knows how 3D models are built up and is able to independently create simple 3D models.
Knows the relationship between 3D model and drawing.
Knows how 3D modeling affects other areas of mechanical engineering.

Is able to independently build 3D models.
Understands the connections between 3D model and drawing and is able to document the 3D model.
Understands the principles with parameters.
Can basically take into account the impact of 3D modeling in other areas of mechanical engineering.

Is able to independently build complex 3D models.
Can document 3D models according to technical drawing rules.
Can apply parameters in the construction of 3D models.
