Objective

The student
- knows about cash flows in a company and the factors that affect them
- can compile a comprehensive financial plan with alternative production calculations for a farm company using available Excel calculation programs, and can calculate the profitability of various options
- can set up budgets for farm companies and make investment calculations based on current investment and other business support rules
- understands important payment movements and financing opportunities for rural businesses

Content

Company's investment process (significant stages)
Investment calculations and assessment of the profitability of investments, especially with regard to the company's financial position
Investment planning and liquidity management
Agriculture's national investment aid and EU support structures / support systems
Basics of production theory, stake - return relationship, stake - stake relationship and product - product relationship
Basic cost theory
Agricultural risks, risk management and risk minimization, especially considering large investments
Cash flows in the company and factors that affect them
The financial system, including the stock and financial markets
Various financing options
Invoicing and management of the company's payment operations
The company's income statement and balance sheet
The effect of taxation on the company's cash flows

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 0 - 5, at least 50 % of the total points in the written exam for an acceptable level

Influence on the total course grade for an individual student:

Written exam 50 %
Assignment/Written project report, grade 0 - 5, 25 %
Participation and showed activity during the lectures, grade 0 - 5, 25 %
