Objective
Students:
-understand basic concepts of artificial intelligence to the extent required for practical use in small businesses
- can use generative AI tools as support in real-world business situations
-can identify concrete business needs in small businesses where AI can create value
-can design, test, and improve AI-based solutions in collaboration with small businesses
-can apply AI in practical work processes such as marketing, customer relations, planning, and analysis
-can reflect on the results, limitations, and business value of AI solutions in real business environments
Content
Basic concepts of artificial intelligence with a focus on usage rather than theory
-Generative AI as a working tool in small businesses
-Identification of business needs and problems in real companies
-Development and testing of AI-based solutions (e.g. prompts, workflows, and simple AI assistants)
-Application of AI in practical business processes such as marketing, customer communication, planning, and decision support
-AI-supported analysis of business data and presentation of results to companies
-Reflection on the opportunities, limitations, and business implications of AI in small businesses

Students:
can describe basic areas of application for artificial intelligence in small businesses
can use generative AI tools to solve simple, practical tasks in collaboration with companies
can identify a business need where AI can be useful
can carry out a simple AI-based task (e.g. text, analysis, or workflow) for a company
can describe the benefits of the AI solution at a basic level
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students:
-can independently identify and formulate business problems in small businesses where AI can be applied
-can develop, test, and adapt AI-based solutions based on the company’s needs
-can apply AI in multiple business processes and justify the choice of solutions
-can use AI to analyze business data and present the results in a clear and understandable way for companies
-can evaluate how AI solutions affect work processes and decision-making in practice
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students:
-can independently plan and carry out a practical AI project in collaboration with a small business
-can develop, test, and further refine AI-based solutions that create clear business value
-can critically review the results, quality, and limitations of the AI solutions used
-can adapt AI solutions based on the company’s resources, goals, and real-world conditions
-can reflect on the role of AI in small business development and draw conclusions based on practical work
