Objective
The student
- understand what a well-functioning piglet production requires in terms of production control, animal care, production environment and feeding
- knows the breeding of breeding animals for piglet production
- can take into account requirements from intermediaries, processors, authorities and consumers
- knows how the piglet production facilities should be designed with production sustainability and animal welfare in mind;
- can optimize sustainable piglet production
