Objective
The student
- can practically use and service tractors and common field machines
- knows the most common field machines in the agricultural industries
- has an understanding of cost-effective, safe and sustainable machine use
- has an idea of future development opportunities of field machines
Content
Theory part (physics and mechanics as well as rational, sustainable and safe machine use)
Practical skill test / test in tractor handling
Practical tractor handling exercises at the Västankvarn farm
Practical farm work with emphasis on current field work at the Västankvarn farm
Workshop exercises at the Västankvarn farm including tractor service
Practically applied theory of tractor technology and field machines
The course is based on several of the global sustainability goals, mainly the goals of Responsible consumption and production, Life on land and Climate action.

Further information
Because of no specific previous knowledge required in the course it´s necessary to introduce and start the course with a practical level examination and skill test in tractor driving and handling for all participants (students)
The result of the practical examination, in the beginning of the course, is an important base for further small group division and practical training
