Objective

The student:
* understands the problems related to structural mechanics
* acquires a good command of the primary elements in structural mechanics as tools for future courses and work tasks.

Content

- Introduction and short rehearsal
- Calculation of internal forces (sections) of statically determined structures (beams, frames, arches)
- Deformation calculations
- Handbook formulas

To be able to present their calculations
To know the subject area's concepts and terminology
To seek suitable sources to expand their knowledge in the subject area
