Objective

Understand and be able to explain basic lighting concepts
To know the structure and function of light fixtures.
To be able to plan lighting for different purposes
Knowing control principles for different types of lighting sources.
To know and be able to apply the economic use of lighting.
To know and be able to make basic measurements of illumination.
To know about different requirements that are set for lighting intensity depending on the place of use.

Know the basics of lighting technology.
Knows different ballasts.
Knows the control principle for different lamp types.
Knows measurement methods for measuring illuminance.

Can explain the control principles for different lamp types.
Knows what lighting forces are required in different spaces.

Can plan indoor and outdoor lighting.
Can use different ballasts.
Understands the control principle so that economical use of lighting is possible.
Can plan lighting according to the requirements with the help of computer programs
