Objective

The student can edit images with a raster graphics editor program.
The student will be able to produce graphics with a graphic editor program.
The student can produce publications with a publications program .
The student understands how web technology works and can produce static web pages.

Content

Digital publications
Adobe:
- The Basics of photo editing (with Adobe Photoshop)
- The basics of graphic design (with Adobe Illustrator)
- The basics of publishing (with Adobe InDesign)
The basics of web technology (with Adobe Dreamweaver, Notepad ++ or other web editor)
- html, css

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows different formats for digital images.
The student knows the copyright for digital material.
The student can perform simpler photo editing.
The student can produce simpler graphics.
The student can produce simpler publications such as posters, brochures, catalogs.
The student knows about the techniques that a static web page is created with (html, css).
The student can encode simpler html.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the advantages and disadvantages of different formats for digital images.
The student can do more advanced photo editing.
The student can produce more advanced graphics.
The student can produce more advanced publications such as magazines, which require the installation of texts and pictures, page numbering etc.
Students understand how web technology works.
The student can encode simpler html and css.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students can independently choose formats for different types of digital images.
The student can independently produce digital images by integrating different imaging techniques.
The student can create templates for publications and can use these templates in the preparation of publications.
The student can create more advanced web pages and understands the difference between static and dynamic web pages, server code and client code.
