Objective

The student should understand communication as a success factor for the company and can contribute to and participate in the company's internal and external communication. The student knows different means of successful communication.

Teaching methods

Lectures, guest lectures, literature studies, group discussions, written and oral assignments individually and in groups.

Employer connections

Guest lecturer from communication agency or similar.

Student workload

81 hours of work for the student during the course divided into 30 hours of work in class and 51 hours of work on their own.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Communication: The student has an understanding of the principles of communication and partly an understanding of communication as a success factor for a company. The student knows some means of successful communication. Internal communication: The student knows the importance of a functioning internal communication and can partly participate in it. External communication: The student can partly participate in a company's external communication. Business letter: The student has insights into a written business communication but the documentation has shortcomings. The terminology in the field is partly known.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Communication: The student understands the basic principles of communication within a company and understands that a well thought out and well-planned communication is a success factor for a company. The student knows different means of successful communication. Internal communication: The student demonstrates good ability to contribute to and participate in a company's internal communication and has an understanding of the importance of a functioning internal communication. External communication: The student has a good ability to contribute to and participate in a company's external communication in a planned and well thought out way. Business Letters: The student knows the different stages of a written business communication and can carry out the required documentation and is familiar with the terminology in the field.

Communication: The student has an excellent understanding of the principles of communication within a company and clearly shows an understanding that a well thought out and well-planned communication is a success factor for a company. The student is familiar with various means of successful communication. Internal communication: The student has excellent ability to contribute to and participate in a company's internal communication and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the importance of a functioning internal communication. External communication: The student has excellent ability to contribute and participate in a company's external communication in a creative, well-planned and well-structured way. Business Letters: The student demonstrates an excellent ability to participate in written business communication, knows the terminology required and is well acquainted with document preparation rules.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment methods: The course is evaluated on the basis of completed assignments. Active participation is required. The interview and the assignment details must be approved.
