Objective
The student demonstrates knowledge of the growth, development and characteristics of the child and the adolescent
The student has the skills to, through resource promoting methods, support the wellbeing of children, adolescents and families with children, as well as resources and participation
The student is familiar with the care chain related to paediatric nursing
The student can account for various health impediments, illnesses, examinations and treatments within pediatric nursing
The student can in an interprofessional team plan, implement, assess and document about an overall care for children, adolescents and families
The student is able to plan, implement and assess safe medication management
The student shows a reflective and ethical approach in the care of children, adolescents and families

Service structure and multi-professional work with children and young people in different care contexts
Normal development and growth of children and young people
Nutrition issues in relation to children and young people
Child Protection
Children and young people in hospital
Health barriers in children and adolescents as well as the care process and clinical care measures that take into account the characteristics of health care with a focus on children and adolescents.

Qualifications
