Objective
Students will gain a broader and deeper insight into building maintenance and sustainable management as well as experience of international collaboration in the industry.
Content
This is an elective course within the Nordplus cooperation with Novia UAS, Uppsala University and Estonian Academy of Arts et al in the Nordic-Baltic Network of Engineering.
This course is implemented as a 3-7-day intensive course held in Sweden, Estonia or Finland, arranged mainly by the hostuniversity in the country where the course is held.

Teaching methods
Intensive course for members of the Nordic-Baltic Network of Engineering. The course is financed by Nordplus.
Teachers, students and specialists of Construction Engineering and Building Conservation meet to focus on sustaining the built heritage in the Baltic Sea Region. The course is held in cooperation between Uppsala University, Estonian Academy of Arts and Novia University of Applied Sciences.
Understanding of the built heritage from different professional angles is promoted by bringing the different disciplines and cultures of the partners together. Students, teachers and experts of the cooperating partners are invited to join this intensive course to be hosted by UU in Sweden.

The course is held in close so-operation with Nordplus, partner universities and working life.

Course is done in co-operation with Uppsala University, Estonian Academy of Arts in the Nordplus network Nodic-Baltic Network of Engineering.

Students shall be prepared to pay for meals etc.
As a student at Novia UAS you are insured via Novia’s accident insurance. This is only an accident insurance. Therefore, students are strongly recommended to have a private travel insurance.
Students shall carry with them the European Health Insurance Card.
Students shall also have a passport or ID-card.

Course evaluation is approved/rejected. Active participation in preparations, in intensive course days and in report work is required to achieve "approved".
