continuous assessment: students are being assessed throughout the course (participation in the online activities, individual assignments)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student understands common words and simple phrases in plain, simple language
at a slow pace and in short, simple texts about everyday and familiarity
substances. The student shows his/her understanding by
explaining the content in a very simple form and by acting with acceptable results
based on messages and instructions in the content.
In oral and written presentations of various kinds
the student expresses himsef/herself simply and understandably with single words and phrases. In order to
clarify and vary their communication, the student processes, and does
occasional simple improvements to own representations.
The student comments in a very simple form some phenomena in different
contexts and areas where the language is used, and does
simple comparisons with their own experiences and knowledge.

The student understands common words and simple phrases in everyday language
at a slow pace and in short texts about everyday life. The student shows his/her understanding by
explaining the content and by acting with acceptable results
based on messages and instructions in the content.
In oral and written presentations of various kinds
the student is more fluent with words and phrases. In order to
clarify and vary their communication, the student processes, and does
occasional simple improvements to own representations.
The student comments in relatively simple form some phenomena in different
contexts and areas where the language is used, and does further
comparisons with own experiences and knowledge.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student understands common words and phrases in clearly spoken everyday language
at a normal pace and in longer texts about everyday life. The student shows his/her understanding by:
explaining the content using fluent language and by acting with desirable results
based on messages and instructions in the content.
In oral and written presentations of various kinds
the student expresses himself/herself very clearly with varying and more complicated words and phrases. In order to
clarify and vary their communication, the student reflects further and does
improvements, if necessary, own representations.
The student comments clearly on a variety of phenomena in a variety of ways,
contexts and areas where the language is used, and does
comparisons with own experiences and knowledge.
