Location and time
The hackathon begins at 11 am on October 3rd and ends by 4 pm October 4th. The hackathon requires physical presence in Turku.
Materials
Some prereading will be provided by the assigner.
Teaching methods
A 2-day hackathon in blended groups with students from the business as well as the health and welfare program, both local and exchange students. The assignment is related to diversity, equity and inclusion work in companies and how it can be further enhanced through leadership. The students will use different collaborative methods during the days and in the end pitch their solutions to a jury.

The assignment is provided by an external party, deidei.co.
Exam schedules
In addition to the event, the students are required to write a reflection paper afterwards of appr. 3-4 pages, describing their learnings from the event.
International connections
The hackathon involves collaboration with students from different countries. The jurors also represent different nationalities.
Student workload
The total work amount equals 1 ECTS, i.e. approximately 27 hours.

The student will be graded 0-5 based on handed-in material (both group work and individual reflection).

Active participation during event, good quality of reflection with some references to theory in the field, in addition to own insights.

Very active participation during event, high contribution to the result. High quality of reflection with several references to theory in the field, in addition to own insights.
