Objective

The student:
- Understands the difference between the authentic self and an acted character, fiction and fact, and reality and interpretation.
- Understands how breathing and the energy of the voice is connected to speech.
- Knows and understands the possibilities of improvisation
- Recognises that there are other ways of acting than psychorealism
- Recognises their strengths in relation to different types of acting expression
- Has a basic understanding of the different genres, styles and practices of the course.
- Can discuss and compare different theatre methods and acting techniques and master the application of these techniques in teaching situations.
- Can apply the genre of theatre arts when directing or performing themselves.
- Master the planning and implementation of acting lessons and use different pedagogical methods to engage students.
- Shows openness to the importance of solo work for collaborative theatre work and for carrying out improvisational processes.
