Objective
After completing the course, the student should know and be able to describe how a basic electronic system is constructed in a modern car.

Presented separately by the lecturer at the start of the course. The content can change as the development of car electronics continues.

Knows about the various electronic systems and their normal designation
Knows about the different systems and their normal terms
Know the different systems of communication and their names
Knows different battery types for hybrid and electric cars and machines
Know different diagnostic systems and programs and their normal terms

Can describe the functions of the different systems and understand their impact and how they are affected
Can describe the functions of the different systems and understand their impact and how they are affected
Can describe the functions of the different systems and understand their impact as well as where, and why
Can assess their suitability for the purpose as well as the pros and cons
