Objective

The aims of this course are that the student:
- is familiar with the goals and methods of social work, and is able to analyze social problems on different levels
- is able to reflect on professional efforts within the social area, as well as assess their consequences from both an individual-centered as well as a larger social perspective
- is familiar with the ethical codes of social work

Content

- key concepts, goals and operating principles
- the history of social work and central theories
- the administration of social services and social work, central support mechanisms and regulations
- principles for client work, management procedures and professionalism

The student demonstrates superficial competence and basic understanding of the subject
