Objective

The Student:
- has knowledge of the nursing care for the most common orthopedic, neurological, hematological, and endocrinological diseases, as well as diseases of the eyes and ear-nose-throat
- can assess nursing care needs and plan, implement, and evaluate care based on evidence-based knowledge
- masters central evidence-based nursing care methods, clinical examinations, and functional assessments
- can perform care planning and documentation according to the Finnish classification system
- can integrate health-promoting and preventive care within internal medical and surgical nursing care
- can guide and support patients in their care and rehabilitation
