Objective

After having completed the course you should
- have a basic vocabulary
- understand and be able to use basic everyday phrases
- have some understanding about basic grammar
- be able to ask and answer simple questions and give basic information about yourself, your family and your immediate concrete surroundings
- be able to interact in a simple way provided that the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help

Exam schedules

Written exam in the end of the course. Retake on retake day.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student shows satisfactory knowledge of the course content (approx. 35–60 %).
The student is present during lectures bur rarely participates.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student shows good knowledge of the course content (approx. 61–89 %).
The student is present during lectures and participates sometimes.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student shows excellent knowledge of the course content (approx. 90–100 %).
The student takes an active role during lectures and participates often.

Assessment methods and criteria

Level A1.
Grading is based on the exam and class activity. Attendance requirement is 80 %.

After finishing the course the student can communicate in everyday situations. The student understands basic vocabulary and can produce simple sentences in spoken and written form.

The student shows satisfactory knowledge of the course content (approx. 35–60 %).
