Objective

Knowledge and understanding
- Understand the basic principles of analysing a play
- Understand the importance of finding your own theme
- Have knowledge of methods for deeper scene analysis
- Have an insight into the multifaceted work of the director
- Be aware of the geometry of the stage
- Have an understanding of how to choose a venue

Skill and ability
- Be able to work out a directing plan
- Be able to direct a scene of their own choice
- Be able to use the different signals in order to clarify their own message
- Be able to think symbolically
- Be able to develop meaningful warmup drills
- Be able to give constructive feedback

Mindset and evaluation ability
- Have started to develop a personal leadership style as a director
- Understand that theatre work requires communication
- Have started to develop their own theatrical language

The student:
-participates actively in the course
-completes assignments independently and in a manner that shows initiative
-hands in the required assignments on time
-understand the content of the course of studies
-gathers information independently
