Objective

The student
- masters methods to support and monitor the child’s growth and development
- recognizes and can intervene at an early stage in situations that may pose a risk to the child’s health and development
- has knowledge of relationships, parenting and early interaction
- is prepared to provide guidance and counselling to the family on issues regarding upbringing and health habits
- can respect the cultural affiliation of the child and its family
- can work within various networks and teams to support the child and its family
- masters the vaccination program offered at the child welfare clinic

Methods to support and monitor the child's growth and development
Recurrent and comprehensive health examinations, screenings
Early intervention and recognition of situations that may pose a risk to the child's health and development
Supervision and counseling for the family in education issues and issues related to health habits
